Part Two
That first bikini was amazing, but when I wanted another and after my neighbor moved away I was not sure where to find another one. Most of the swimwear I found were Speedos and I must admit, it was kind of fun to go into swimwear shops and sporting good stores to try on suits. I was never a big Speedo fan but I did buy a few, and I immediately cut out the liner which made them fit better and sport the profile of my equipment. I thought the tan line left by these swimwear styles were to large and looked funny, so I craved something with more style. I would stop at every swimwear store I would encounter, but 99% of the time they offered swimwear for women and when they did have men’s swimwear it was inevitably a boxer-style short. I found a cool women’s swimwear shop in Hollywood that said they could custom make a suit for me. Since I was in my teens to have a custom suit made was beyond my means, but I saved and had my first custom designed suit. This is about the time I started to completely shave my shaft, balls and all the surrounding area, completely smooth. When it comes to the hairless equipment look I was definitely an early adapter. The women that owned the store enjoyed making these tiny new swimwear designs. They were her first custom suites for a man. She was very interested, as I wanted a suit that fit well and was as small as possible.
That first custom suit had a very high cut, narrow front pouch and a high cut, bikini rear similar to the most daring girl’s swimwear of the time, it was designed as “high cut” in order to hide my constant teenage bulge. For my first outing I choose Venice Beach because it was and still is the most open, liberal and crazy beach in Los Angeles, almost anything goes there. From the first moment I laid out my towel and peeled off my shorts to expose my tiny new swimsuit, no doubt the smallest ever seen on that beach, all eyes were on me. Early on I knew the exhibitionist in me was strong. Yet even my first time in a suit, that today would still be considered a micro bikini, I was a little nervous. I was not sure how people would react on that very busy weekend summer day. But I bravely strutted around, playing in the surf and laying out among the crowds with the outline of my very hard shaft showing clearly through the fabric. Even now I feel it was a very bold display of male masculinity , especially for a kid in his late teens. That day was beautiful and liberating with just about every man and woman around me offering big smiles, and probably enjoying my very young hard, almost bare body. I was hooked for life. Over the next few years I had my special swimwear shop make me many custom suits some of which were the basis for my early swimwear design offerings when I founded Koala swimwear.
To this day I still get that same total excitement when I try on a new suit for the first time as I felt that first day years ago. The little pleasures can be so wonderful.
